2025 Board Elections

We have four (4) board members whose terms are up at the end of the year.

  • District 1 Position 1, currently held by Terry Lenssen (3-year term)
  • District 1 Position 3, currently vacant
  • District 2 Position 4, currently held by Eric Johnson (3-year term)
  • District 3 Position 7, currently held by Kaleb Whitby (3-year term)
  • District 4 Position 10, currently held by Stacy Thomas (3-year term)

If you feel you have the time and interest to help guide our state’s dairy industry, please consider running for this Board position. These are 3-year positions and must be filled by a member in good standing of the WSDF.

According to the WSDF Bylaws, a member in good standing is defined as:
“those persons, firms, partnerships, or their designee(s) who: hold a Grade A permit to produce milk in
the State of Washington and are on record at the Federation office as members.”

To also be eligible to run for a Board position, a member:
“shall be and for the five (5) preceding years of the election have been a Grade A producer and actually
engaged in producing dairy products within the State.”

If you or someone you know is interested in running for one of these Board positions, please fill out the Board Candidate Biography and return to the Federation by October 31, 2025. After information is verified, ballots will be mailed out by November 15, 2025. Completed ballots must be returned to the Federation office or postmarked by December 15, 2025, to be counted. The WSDF staff and an independent third party will verify the election process.

2025 Industry Membership Registration

Dear Dairy Industry Partners:

The Washington State Dairy Federation is a voluntary membership organization currently representing 300 dairy farms, and it works with a variety of related agriculture groups on legislative and regulatory issues to ensure that farming in Washington State remains viable, now and in the future.  We would not be able to do this without the help of our industry partners!

Washington dairy industry statistics:

  • the 2nd largest agricultural commodity sector in the state
  • 10th in the U.S. for volume of milk produced
  • 13th in the U.S. for milk per cow
  • 20th in the U.S. for forage production
  • 9th in the U.S. for average herd size

With your 2025 membership to the Washington State Dairy Federation, you will receive:

2025 Board Special Elections

We are having a special election for two of WSDF’s board member positions:

  • District 1 Position 3   currently vacant (3-year term)
  • District 4 Position 10   currently vacant (3-year term)

If you are a Grade A producer and have been engaged in producing dairy products for the five preceding years within the state, you are eligible to run. Those interested need to fill out a Board Candidate Biography form prior to April 24th. That form is available below.
